Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
Yup, that's what I remember. Probably not much you can do to improve
the speed while posing. You can improve startup time by keeping most
of your content in external runtimes, but that's a separate consideration.
The one thing that might help is adding more RAM if your computer can
handle it. Poser is memory-hungry, and when the real RAM isn't enough
the computer will use the hard disk as virtual RAM, which is slower.

Oh, Vista. (If that sounds like cussing, it is.)
I suppose you've turned off all the Visual Themes stuff....

P6 fixed a lot of things that were broken in P5.
If your experiencing poor GUI interaction, you should try one or more of the following :-
playing with the preview / display driver options
updating display drivers
For some graphics cards there are specific things you can try or need to do to get the preview to respond properly.

I wonder if any one thinks P6 works slower than P5?
I use both on a powerful PC and P6 seems to work slower
like it's thinking about every move where P5 just does
it's moves without hesitation. Rendering works great on
both. Maybe theres something I should clean or change.
Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks
