Just sunny and cold here in Indianapolis today, no snow a t'all. However, I'm not going to let a silly little thing like being at the office and on the clock stop me from checking in on the class progress. :biggrin:

Okay so far, but I'll have to play with this one a little bit... I've never worked with the Joint Editor.

I'm beginning to think that it's little wonder that my last attempt at character creation ended with the figure shattering like glass candy doin' the jitterbug...

The Joint Editor is just like so many other things in Poser ...

It's a mystery :scared: ..........  until ............ you learn how it works :biggrin: ___ YES !!!

Can I just say that whoever decided that these joint control indicators should be red and green needs to be slapped and sterilized? Does that make me a bad person?

I'm partly color blind, and the colors they've chosen look identical to me.

Okay, I'm done complainin'. Things could always be worse... and I'm not lookin' for that.

On a more postive note, this joint stuff is all starting to make a lot more sense than it used to. I'm having fun.

(Hmm... I wonder how bad Poser would crash if I tried to hack the code and find out where it generates those colors... somethin' to think about... giggle)

Don't worry about the colors.  Just look at the relative starting positions and go from there.

Here's one way you might be able to view it ...

The 2 arms (red) that show the Exclusion area always face away from ... or open away from the object (Body Part) ... and ... the 2 arms (green) that show the Inclusion area always open towards the object (Body Part).

For the "Twist" deformer ... don't worry about the colors ... just adjust the ends to include the area you want affected by the "Twist" parameter and do a test by twisting the Body Part.

More about the twist deformer later on.

It is a special purpose prop that may be used to make posing more realistic.

After you TOTALLY screw up the pose (ha, ha - it's VERY sensitive) ... :scared:

You can use the Joint Editor to "Zero Figure" (button) and start over.
