No photoshop or faked Depth of Field (DOF) please. Let see what you and that camera of yours can DO using DOF in a creative way.
Thought my Snoopy PEZ(tm) dispenser made a cool subject for some DOF experimenting.
Focal Length 50 mm
Exposure Time 1/80 sec
Aperture f/3.5

Is that a macro 50mm or a normal one?

Real nice Tunde! Very stylish!
That red coloring literally bursts from this shot. Good use of DOF to give just a hint of the glass there to the left.
Thx for taking part in my li'l challenge!

Thx Joe, li'l challenges like this can teach us to be better or just simply understand photography definitions. I will look out for the next "assignment "...lol.

In that thread, danob made a productive suggestion ... alas, it was one which I haven't had tme to implement.
Details about this image ...
I was motivated by the discussion of DoF in the Light test thread.
I was inspired by the remains of a light rain on the holly leaves outside my window. In addition, although the day had been overcast with light rain, as the rain ended I had strong, even sunlight -- a Promise of Spring to Come.
BTW, considering how windy it was at the time as well as how slowly the camera makes a decision to actually take the picture, I consider myself lucky to get this image at all.
Camera: Kodak Z1015 IS 10MP; hand-held; available light; subject at about 2-3 ft.
Comments, please.

50mm macro lens. The clock face is about 7 inches (17.8 cm) and that gives a clue to the depth of field from front to back.

Sorry - didn't put the data!
Sigma 180mm Macro lens at f3.5 on a Nikon D200.
Hand-held (hence a bit of camera shake) 1/50sec with an ISO of 1250 - yes, it's a little chunky because all that is lighting it is my small flourescent desklamp so I jacked up the ISO - but I like how it turned out.
