In the first place I would do some basic housekeeping - defrag etc.
I think re-instaling B5 is the way to go but check on the DAZ site for the serial number which should be in your account page.
Failing that, download b5 free version from DAZ. I just did and it works fine.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Bryster, I think I will have to re-install it. Despite my misleading title to the post it's actually a Bryce 5.01 that I got from Corel, so even if I could get it to connect to the internet there will be nowhere left for it to phone home to. I have the serial number in a text file - the problem was just how to get it back into the product.. I'll re-install it and see if that works. (Probably Poser6 will stop working after that) 8-)

judyk,Er... you do know that Bryce 5.5 is still free?
If you didn't, go to the link above to download it, and don't forget to download the presets too:
(And save your presets from B5 first - especially if you made any of your own presets or used any downloaded ones)

Everything was going fine until I installed Poser6 a couple of days ago (probably unrelated, but possibly not). Next time I started up Bryce it opened a popup box asking for its serial number, and simultaneously tried to get on the internet and got blocked by the firewall. I allowed the internet access, but by that time Bryce had hung up solidly and I had to kill it off via task manager.
Now Bryce is not saving the image file when the br5 file is saved, and every time I open it, it has gone back to the factory settings. I think that for some reason it thinks it's unregistered, but I can't find any way of making it prompt for the serial number again, or connect to the internet.
Has anyone else had this problem, and can save me having to de-install and re-install Bryce again?
Many thanks
