Hay, that's pretty cool! Seems to take advantage of lofting, lathing and booleaning techniques. While I was there I also saw this similar proggie which is also still under development. The demo can be downloaded here (Windows only):

This type of modeling seems to be coming into it's own. The possibilities are endless.

I see a sound

Sometimes they come out very soft

Cool - looks like a mini ZBrush. Wonder how big the exports are, ZBrush produces some mighty massive numbers of polygons. I'd also like to see an export brought over to Bryce (hint, hint).
Thanks for the heads up!

Color me distraught over chinks in the faith's highest office.  I must scream out "Why?"  I shall no longer hide my Wings3d files. Nothing is sacred.

PS
thanks for the links.

WOW...Now I am really encouraged to make the time to install this...what's the poly count like on those jigglers mate?

Oh, I see, this is a trick... see who will willingly download said app and sentence them to a month in the chair... fiendishly clever MrBryster sir. 😉😉

Lown ( ) posted Wed, 13 May 2009 at 12:22 PM

Bobbystahr, they were about 5000 polys each, subdivided the mesh a couple of times. Playing with said app again now, this is great fun!!!!

Here's a similar app called Smooth Teddy that's been around for a while:  http://www-ui.is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~takeo/teddy/teddy.htm.

Glad the cardinal has approved a modeling app...Maybe he will someday approve Wings3D ???

Fran - I just said that it looked like a mini ZBrush. I haven't used it so I could be very wrong!
Anyway it's the link by TB in the very first post.

Lown - thanks for the info.
