Subject: Victoria 4.2 to 3ds MAX 8. Is the process still the same as with Victoria 3?

Victoria 4.2  to 3ds MAX 8. Is the process still the same as with Victoria 3?  I keep getting gaps in the textures.  I did it once with V3 a long time ago successfully. I don't think I'm doing anything differently though. Although... now that I think about it I think with V3 it was necessary to use UVmapper prior to importing into MAX. Is that correct> Should I do the same with V4?

When exporting the object from Poser I just use the default settings. In MAX when importing I set it to multiple, but then leave everything else alone I ensure that use materials is selected.

In you first render the imported file. it seems to render fine except the bump maps are way too strong.  If you make a change and have to reapply the texture the texture will not work on some parts.

if that is V4, the model has been significantly morphed as that does not look like her. That is not a complaint or objection, just an observation.

Is it possible for you to try a straight export/import with the V4.2 default just to see if the gaps in the texture maps show up or not.

So, you are exporting in .obj format out of Poser? If that is true, you must get the mesh and the attached color and bump maps? Max can't receive any information about any other procedural materials, right?

what about the hair? That is not transfering over from poser to max, is it?
