Subject: Poser Pro prop question???

TIMMYLYNN ( ) posted Thu, 04 June 2009 at 11:29 PM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 2:41 PM

Hi!  created prop have obj in geometries folder.  am trying to remove the geometry from the pp2 file.  Used the only thing I could find on it on the internet Phil C solution but it does not work for me.  after following his directions the prop loads into poser but none of the parameter dials work and I can delete it out of the prop lists but the prop stays in the scene requiring me to start a new scene to get rid of it.  frustrating.  It's probably something simple, i've been messing with it all day and need to take a break.  Any body else dealing with poser pro? also on a 64 bit machine.

peace and love

If I understand you correctly, you want to delete your prop from your scene.  Simply select the prop in your scene and click DELETE.  Removing it from the library is just that.

Now, could you elaborate further about the OBJ file in the Geometries folder?  I don't think your explanation is clear.

This is the way I'm reading your post.

You have a prop, but the geometry is in the prop, unlike other props that have the geometry in the geometries folder. If that's the case, the Geometry Stripper available in the freestuff here by JHoagland may help (attached link).

And as hborre says, to delete an object from the scene, select the object, and then press delete.

thanks guys for the replies.  sorry my explanation was not clear.  Yes I am trying to remove the obj from the pp2 file so I will try the plug in in a bit.  I know how to delete a prop.  Sorry for the confusion.  I will try to plugin and see if that works.  Are you guys using poser pro?

thanks

I'll let you know how it goes.

I use PoserPro for all my renders.  Much more convenient where Gamma Correction is concerned.
