Subject: Prop Hair Question

Sorry for the really newbie question...but how do I apply different hair colors to prop hair?

Specifically, I'm using Poser 7 and Aether Hair. I want the hair to be black, so I try double clicking on the MAT Aether black thumb and nothing changes. It renders in all white.

Yes, the hair is selected and parented to head.

I've looked into the materials room but the hair has many, many different material segments. I can't believe I have to apply the color to every segement. Or do I?

What am I missing?

Thanks.

try selecting the biggest piece in mat room and changing just that to black, or use one of the "copy material" or "reset material" scripts.

What you are doing sounds reasonable for applying MAT Texture to hair.  Looking over the readme, there is no Material Room files associated with the product.  It almost sounds like a bad or corrupted pz2 file.  You haven't mentioned it, but have you applied other textures without problems?

Yes, I've applied other textures to other hair. Hikari for example works fine.

I'll double check my install to see if I have a DS texture loaded into my Poser runtime.

Thanks.
