Subject: Where'd my shadows go?

OKay, the first pic is something I did a couple years ago. There's no setting prop, just a plain white background. Itrying to do something similar in the second pic, but shadows aren't showing up in it, even when I use the exact same light set.

Any ideas on what's going wrong?
The first pic was done in Poser 6 (or maybe 7), the second in Poser Pro.

are the shadows on in the render settings and on the lights?

do you have anything to cast shadows on to like a floor plane?

It looks like you are displaying the ground plane in the first image which is set to Shadow Catch Only by default

Yep, groupnd plane. That was it. Thanks guys. I had teh guide turned off and didn't realize it would take the ground plane away  too.
