Subject: How do I attach lighting to props? any tutorials?

FightingWolf ( ) posted Thu, 30 July 2009 at 6:37 PM · edited Sat, 07 December 2024 at 4:08 PM

Ok I have a few lighting questions and could use some help in locating tutorials that can teach me the following.

  1. How to attach lighting to a street light prop so that the light glows from the inside of the prop and create a realistic lighting on the ground.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Frederick

Forgot my second question.

  1. I would like to know if there is a way to do the same for car headlights.

You would need to position one of the directional lights, like 'Point light' inside your lamp prop.

You can set how far the light will travel, too.

There was a really nice light feature image in the Gallery the other day.

Here it is:
