Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 02 8:28 pm)
I believe that it now assigns buckets as cores become available, but wait for a P8 tester to weigh in on this with a confirmed answer.

Bagginsbill Page 42 of the main thread. Some people who have more cores than I (syyd) reporting ridiculous render speeds. Poser 8 supports 32 cores running, and with buckets handed out to available cores as they become available instead of just dividing the screen into four quadrants, it screams.
Yeay... now I'm actually going to have to think about getting it just to save me some render time.

Has anyone heard yet how p8 handles multiple thread rendering? I don't like how 7 handles it because if you don't have things positioned just right, some threads get a light load and stop rendering when they are done instead of helping out where they are needed.
I really like how carrera handles the workload to rendering and I hope that p8 will do something similar.
