 What did cause that?

Can't remember what causes it. I think it is an open GL bug. I have one scene that does the same and when I switch to Sreed preview it goes away. Not that I like working in that mode. The same scene opened in P8 using OpenGL does not have the same problem.

I have no idea what caused it either. But it happened when I went to change her pose.

3DS has a fixed reference point that it saves in every file.
I saw a patch that would remove the point. was 3rd party, free, and worked seperate of poser.

Poser usually handles it very well however some files (like what you proved) when you change something on the model including textures, when poser rechecks the model 1 point goes to the 0 point reference.

Since so many of my apps work with poser I have dropped 3DS a long time ago.

Alternativly, if you have Bryce, open it in there first then save as new.
