Subject: Poser 8 crash creating full body morph

When I try to create cgharacters by using magnets, spawning individual body part morphs, and then creating a full body morph, Poser 8 crashes (several times).  After several frustrating attempts, I then tried again but saved the character with the magnet props attached and the spawned morphs to the Poser 8 library.

I switched back to Poser 7 to access the library (with a version warning) and was able to create the full body morph.  I saved the character with full body morph back to the library.  I reopened Poser 8 and it was able to loan and manipulate the character.

So, I can only surmise that there is nothing inherently wrong with the  character.  Something in Poser 8 doesn't like using the dials after deleting the magnets, or doesn't like magnet-created morphs.

I've tried in open GL and scree

I have Poser 8 for windows Vista, NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS with 512 MB dedicated video memory

Poser 8 has been incredibly unstable for me in trying to use the new sculpt feature allowing you sculpt across body parts. About 9 out of 10 times that I try to save that out in the same way you are, it crashes the program. About 7 out of 10 times I try to sculpt like that, it crashes upon release of the pen. Not cool. -Les

If you can recreate it - then send a bug report to SM. Or nothing will be done about it.

It's not that big of a deal to me: I was just testing it. I prefer to use Zbrush  and PLH for all that stuff anyway. It's just something else in P8 that's kinda wonky. Personally, NEVER adopt a piece of software until it's had at least 3-6 months of public thrashing. All the hubbub over P8 is really kinda funny... be excited when it becomes solid. Until then, better the devil you know. -Les
