Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
The easiest way to do this, if you're having trouble with transmapped hair, is to set the display for the hair to wireframe (Element Style - wireframe)
That way you can see the mesh even if it's facing the wrong way.
As far as I know (but I'd love to be proven wrong) there's no way you can see the backfacing polygons in preview otherwise.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
I'd say the same, except I prefer Lit Wireframe mode because it hides the backfacing polys.
Quote - I don't suppose Poser 8 has that, does it?
No, Poser doesn't get the concept of double-sided materials at all even in version 8.
Quote - Most of the "big dog" apps can do double-sided materials.
Right you are. Which is why I don't even waste my time in Poser with posing hair too extremely and just take it into LW on those occasions where I can actually see what I'm doing as I'm doing it. End up with new morphs that way too, which is always good. So in a way, Poser's deficiency has expanded my versatility. Gotta find the positive in the situation. ;-)

Is there a way in the material editor to make single-sided materials display as double-sided? Yes, a single-sided surface will render double sided and that's good, but I want to see it double-sided in the document display.
I'm having trouble posing some transmapped hair, because I can't see half of it while I'm doing it.
Or maybe a way to flip all the polygons inside out temporarily to see the other side?
Poser Pro by the way, but I doubt that would matter.
