Subject: It's almost the end of the month...

... or did I just dream somewhere SR1 was promised "by the end of the month?"

All teasing aside, any reports about a release date for SR1? Or has the fix list grown so long that it is just going to take a lot longer? I can understand that. Three of the four bugs I reported I was aparently the first to report. At least, the guys at SM wanted a lot of help to duplicate them (which, to their credit, they finally did!)

Again, I'm not being a wise-ass... I'm just wondering if there's been any word about a realistic time frame on the release.

I thought someone mentioned it was already out, like two weeks after release. Did I mis-hear?

There was a hotfix released to address a few issues, but it was my understanding that was just that... a quick fix to a couple of the worst crash causers.

It was all a dream...

If I recall correctly,  the phrase used was 'in a few weeks' (or something to that effect) and I don't think the word 'promised' was used at all. In other words, nothing as specific as you suggest.

However, it's clear from bagginsbill's recent posts that SR1 is coming along nicely; he and others still seem to be finding the odd glitch here and there, but these appear to involve simple errors like swapping minuses to pluses and having decimal points out of place. And BB is already suggesting interesting stuff in the pipeline for SR2.

My guess is that SR1 isn't very far off.

IIRC, BB indicated it would probably be a September release. I don't think it was any more specific than that.
