Hi, can anyone tell me why flash does this? What I am doing is adding a new layer to my timeline. I have an image that supposed to overlay another image that has already been placed on a different layer. so I pick out the location I would like to insert the new image and create a keyframe. so now everything before my new keyframe is blank. I add my new picture to the newly created keyframe then go out a few frames and insert some frames to close it out. or something along those lines. so I have 2 alpha tweens for this pic, fade in and fadeout. and I end everything with either a new keyframe or a blank key frame. everything is working perfectly until I try to insert a second picture on the new layer. it does not matter how I try to place in a key frame it will continue the frame from where I left off of. I need to place in a new picture with new tweens but flash will not allow it why? I could do that on the older layers when building my file but not with an added layer

thanks

Did you turn the picture into a symbol before adding the tweens?

Yes, I set it up as a graphic symbol.

Try setting it up as a movie symbol. See if that works.
