Subject: Hard edges in Poser - how?

Hi there - some of you may have run into me. I've been working on perfecting models for Poser, and I'm getting closer. HOWEVER...;)

I'm trying to get things to render with hard edges in Poser (I'm using version 5). The model here is an Octagon from Wings 3d. What I've done is hardened the edges, then beveled them by .005 (something someone recommended once), and UVMapped (this is a UVMap test, as is obvious by the excessive number of textures).

Now - in the 'normal' mode, all is as it should be. However, in Production (or presentation, or whatever it is; I shoulda left Poser up) mode, I get this 'plumped/melted/rounded/smoothed' effect.
Unchecking 'smooth polygons' works just fine, however, it's kind of annoying handing out freebies to people who don't know to do that (we all hope people read the Readmes, but to be honest?...;)

Is there some sort of 'magic' method of smoothing, or beveling, or arranging things so they don't swell up? Just let me know.
