There is a note on Daz installers here
http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=77881&sid=d45140af54ce0f8865de4cc411bf67a7
Did you go through and try some of the suggestions there?
Off the top of my head I would try right clicking the installer and running as administrator.

I couldnt find the solution there but a friend found me one.......
"download and install the free 'Emotiguy' product from our webstore.
"Just before you install 'Emotiguy,' delete your 'dzInstall.ini' file and this older installer will be forced to create a new one for you. Then run the installer for Michael 4 base. "
and it worked a treat! I did have to make a text file and named it poser.exe and put it in the main directory too...for it to intsall.
Thanks anyway :O) much appreciated

Ok I bought a new machine because my old one crashed.
It's 64bit and I've bought poser pro and I've just gone to install v4 and am getting an error message
It says
"Error reading INI file C:Program Files (x86) Common FilesDazdzinstallini"
Any ideas. It does the same with m4.
Thanks
