Also, the little sample I posted is fully animatable although it currently has no animation in it. DCG's Enhance C and Shoestring Shaders have some excellent procedural shaders that can be animated too.

I am looking to make a fight scene and i would like to put in a fireball (a la street fighter) but what ever i try it looks rubbish, could any one point me towards a tutorial or suggest any good settings to make a great looking fire/energy ball
