Apply the materials manually in the Material Room.
Save the set as a Material Collection.

I don't think I'd bother with changing it to a MAT pose any more. I used to do it but since my products aren't designed to run in P4 or 5, I think it's time to leave 'em in the Material Room.
TBH, it's a lot of fannying around for no benefit, specially when you have to edit hundreds of the buggers.

And to think, technically MAT poses are an unsupported hack, it's just they worked well enough to be adopted in the Poser psyche.
The only problem (although not for me, happy Poser user!) with using .mc6 files is that they can't be used in DAZ|Studio, whereas MAT pose files can, and Mugsey said he'd like his MATs to be for Poser and D|S.
A double-edged sword to be sure, damned if you do, damned if you don't! :)
Ah well, I don't suppport D|S in me stuff, either. Can't get the feckin' thing to run on me computers and the free version doesn't support all the nice glowing shiny bits I put in me stuff, so, as Shakespeare would have said...
Arse biscuits to it.
Not that I dislike D|S, btw. I think it's lovely and the idea of a free base app is great... I just can't get it to run.

Hi guys - sorry I didn't jump in sooner.
No -- I want to use poser to CREATE figures and mat poses to use in DS - so that I can then export the posed figures to BRYCE 6. I want to use POSER to do small scenes involving one to five characters, and BRYCE to do HUGE scenes involving crowds of nearly any size.
You can use exports of DS figures in Bryce to make MASSIVE populated city scenes that you CANNOT in poser because of crosstalk and crash issues.
No crosstalk in Poser since at least P6. You're right about the inability to handle huge scenes easily, though.

I got a copy of Safetyman's freebie V4 Sci Fi Helmet and I want to make mats and alternative textures for it for Poser (and DS) - and post'em as freebies through ShareCG or File Factory
(unless somebody wants to host them for me). Problem is I have forgotten how to load alternative maps into Poser and save them as Mat poses. First - here's the Helmet that I am talking about:
