Hey, wow offrench! I remember your site was one of the first I looked at for some Bryce tutorials YEARS ago. (Thanks, btw) Glad to see it is still up.
Hey, what you do is give the model a single material, it will export just fine then. Or, at least these two do, I just tried it both as a .3ds and a .obj

@ offrench...just came back from your site where I followed a link back to the RMP re: grass plants only to find it's no longer offered for sale. If that is the case and you no longer see a market for it would you consider sharing it in freestuff here...just a thought as I am also a Freestuff Mod and am always looking for great contributions such as this would be.. ...

Yes, the first incarnation of Virtual Lands dates back from about 10 years. I started brycing in 1996...
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I was able to export the BlackPearl by giving every one of its parts a generic texture. I might give it a try in Bryce 5 as it would be more practical to retain the original textures.
@Bobbystahr
In fact Renderosity seems to remove the products that do not sell well... which was the case for my grass.
As you suggest, I can offer it as a freebie.
Some people have suggested that I offer my Vue plants in .obj format to make imports in Bryce and Terragen possible.
I am working on packages including several of them, but it takes time as I export several variants of every plant.
I wanted to have some feedback from Bryce users on this. Does it sound interesting?
Or do you already have enough ground plants to work with?

@ offrench...Sounds great for Brycers man. From my experience exporting for other apps from Vue I found the .3DS format emminently more use-able. I primarily used them for my work with Terragen 2 but converted the .3ds in PoseRay[free app] to .obj as that's what TG2 prefers, but if exported as .3ds you can have colour, bump and alpha maps generated, don't think that's an option in .obj format. The trees didn't work all that well but the grass I did I used until other models showed up in our terragen object dl's at ashundar...thanks for considering uploading yours mate.. ...

I have just found two fine ship models for Bryce: the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman from Pirates of the Caribbean.
The problem is: they are in .obp format. Although I do have Bryce 6.1, I would like to be able to use these in Vue.
When I try to export the models from Bryce 6.1, it crashes every time. To do so, I edit the object (CTRL+E), then export (CTRL+D).
Questions:
I have tried in both Vista 32 and Vista 64 (in case the error is OS based)
