Subject: Making Dynamic Clothes in Poser

Hi,

Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to make dynamic clothing out of conforming clothes. I know there is a way to export the .obj file and save it as a smart prop and I've seen it referenced but can't recall where or when. I also know that there is a limitation on which conforming clothes can be converted to dynamic. I did make a futile search...

Thanks,
W.

I've answered some of this at another forum, I know. Actually the best dynamic tutorials were at poserfashion.net, which seems to be down at the moment. I hope it isn't a permanent state of affairs since there was a wealth of stuff there.

Edited to add: don't make dynamic clothing into a smart prop, by the way. Parenting is of no value, and it can get in the way of some things you might want to do, such as "shrink-wrapping".

Thanks EnglishBob - I got your replies over at the DAZ forum. You've been a great help...

Site Admin Online Now!

There is a utility that will convert figures to props so you don't have to export/import/resize them. I use it alot and usually works great.
