(Teehee - I was gonna title it Mike's Blonde Moment, but didn't know how many blondes would read it ;-) ) Ok, people, I need some real advice from the pro's for this one. I've decided that with a bit of practice and some serious work I can start freelancing this stuff. I know I'm not ready yet, just setting my goals. The question that I need answered at this time is a basic one that I just can't grasp - if you want a 'professional' looking digital photo (say a portrait) what ppi is usual? Is it 300? And for shots up to A4 I have an Epson Colour 680 (2880dpi) - will this produce enough quality? And how do you get pictures above A4? If you get a printing company to do it, no probs, but if it can be done in-house what printer is recommended? I haven't had the chance to experiment at all with higher quality images this month, but hey - that's just a week away! Oh, and the camera I'm looking at is a Fuji (again) that runs at 6 million pixels, 8x optical zoom etc... (approx. $900 - $1000, 650) can't find the model at the mo, saw it in a shop the other day. Any other recommendations? Thanx all..... just realise u are the people that inspired this decision. I know I'm gonna have to work hard at it, but I really think I can get somewhere here.....
