First, thank you in advance for any answers..

Secondly: Does P8 run on windows 7??  I have also been away for a while, has there been a soft due date for Poser 2010?  Im wondering if I should just wait, get P8 or possibly poser pro.. Any input welcome and appreciated.

All the answers are in the forum concerning P8 and Seven ;-)

P8 will run under Windows 7 as stated in other threads.  Just make certain you have all the appropriate security authoration in place before install.  Otherwise, install in it's own folder on your primary drive.

Last I heard, official PoserPro2010 release may be March.  It is currently in beta testing now.

Given the fact that you're on 64 bit.... Unless you own the existing Poser Pro, I would wait and get Poser Pro 2010 rather than investing in P8. (If you own the existing Poser Pro and sidegrade/upgrade to P8, you'll get your money back in the form of a discount on PP2010, anyway, so you may as well get both.)

That's what makes sense to me, since P8 doesn't take advantage of the extra RAM 64 bit offers, whereas Poser Pro's renderer does.
