Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Same results here. The wait time gets longer and longer, until finally I delete me Poser.ini file and everything clears up. Then the waits begin again. Something is definately wrong, and I've not heard back from Smith Micro about it.
I've not seen this in the Poser Pro beta, but it may be that I just haven't used it long enough yet.
I highly recommend PzDB. This totally side steps everything about the Poser content manager and gives you a lot of advantages, like being able to see all the icons full size at the same time, and being able to REALLY group everything about a clothing item, regardless of who made it and when, together. It's worth the money.
(Not a paid endorsement... I just think it's a great program!)
P.S.: I only have that during startup of Poser, not while I am working. So, I can load Poser, wait 5-10 minutes until the refresh is done, but then I can work fine all day. But still, the wait time is annoying.
I heard it's something to do with the version of the Flash player, updated that, but no change.

Every time I go to use a figure, pose, light, whatever, there is a ? next to the name.
I then have to hit the refresh button and wait, and wait, and wait.
Loading things in P8 takes forever as well, expecially V4 and similar figures.
Everything is installed default, other than the fact V4 and a lot of stuff are in my old P6 runtime.
I'm thinking I have to move or reinstall my figures into the P8 main runtime?
