Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 4:22 pm)
You mean in Windows? That's odd... Try reassociating them with Poser. If you right click on the file, there should be a menu item called "Open with..." or something. With that, you should be able to reassociate those files with Poser.
Seems odd though that the icon is gone, if this is what you mean. I would consider if other things on the computer seems FUBAR'ed and make a backup just in case...

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
You can try this:
open Registry Editor
unfold "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT"
find "PoserSceneAsciiFile" and unfold it
unfold "DefaultIcon"
in the right window double click on "(Default)" entry - new dialog will appear
change the ending of this entry to:
Poser.exe,9
(9 - is the number of the icon used by poser for its scene files)
should work or maybe you need to restart.

Ok, so I recently got the SR3 update for P7... never knew it existed, but it erased the icon for the files to a blank space next to the file name and I'd like to change them back, any help on this one?
