You might want to check this thread at C3D. Once there just scroll down a bit to the stats. Looks like a great cpu for Vue would be a quad core i7.My aging system running V8 Complete consists of
CPU Q6600 Quad core( would love a mid level quadcore i7) which would about double the render speed.
8 GIGS mem (16 gigs or more would be nice for hi res images, but my mobo only does 8)
Nvidida Geforce 8800gt card ( woks pretty well, but would like to see if openGl would be better with a new card.)
64bit win7 pro (perfect)

Hello,
I just got back into Vue after a long break to pursue other hobbies. I need a new computer, and I have Vue 8 complete winging it's way to me now. I've read about the req to run the software and that it seems to like Nvidia cards better. My question is, if I want to buy off the shelf and not customize a 'puter will a gaming computer suit my needs?
