A screenshot might help to diagnose the problem. If you don't see the objects in any views, maybe the layers are hidden? On the right side of the layer title there's an eye icon. If this is closed, the objects in the layer are not visible in the viewports. If you don't see them in the render, this could mean that either they are not in the camera's field or they are hidden from render (if you click on the left side of the object title you toggle render visibility, signaled by a cross that appears or not there).
Hope that helps.

Hi there, This might sound stupid but I am having a problem adding things to my scene.
I created the beginnings of a graphic in poser 7 (just a couple of rocks) and then imported it into vue 7xstream (with no problems) and continued adding plants and trees and whatnot to the scene.
Yesterday I upgraded to vue 8xstream and all seemed well at first. Then I discovered that I can't add plants, objects or anything. It looks like I can. I can bring in the object (or plant or terrain or whatever) move it around, resize it, add materials, edit materials, etc but the actual object itself doesn't show up in any of the views. Nothing shows up in a quick preview or a full render. So I closed the file and started a new one just to test things out. In a completely new file I have absolutely no problems.
The file I'm working on is pretty bare bones at the moment so I haven't done any fancy shading or texturing or anything.
I am by all accounts a newbie and am no artist by any stretch of the imagination. I just get a kick out of playing with graphic programs. Is there something I'm missing?
I appreciate any help or advice.
Thanks
Kelly
