If you haven't seen the movie, it's about two older gentlemen who meet in the hospital, both have cancer and decide to make a list of things they want to do before they  "kick-the-bucket".

I found this link to DPS asking what Photos are on your "Bucket List"?

I'm working on mine and will post it shortly, but wanted others to get working on theirs!

Here's a quick one I did up, but I'm sure I could add plenty to it!

Bucket List:

1- Night shot (not sure of what just yet, but would like one that turns out fantastic).
2- Portrait (something very National Geographic worthy).
3- Action shot of skiing (there are so many great ones out there, I just want to get close).
4- Picture of my favorite animal - tiger.
5- Picture of a bird in flight that isn't all blurry and far away.
6- Something very fun and colorful (dancers, parade, hot air balloons).
7- Underwater shot (sea turtle if possible).
8- Yosemite Valley floor in snow (I can't get over the pass in winter without driving 8 hrs or more, but someday soon I'm going to do anyway)
9- Fiji and the Marshall Islands (I have family there)
10- New Zealand (big LOTR fan, gotta see it for myself. Oh.... and I have relatives there too!).

Mine:

1.  Finish building a photo studio.
2.  Offer free photography to people unable to afford it, kind of a giving-back idea.
3.  Rephotograph exactly some shots done in the Grand Canyon to see what has moved.
4.  Take a better photo of the moon.
5.  Photograph a major rodeo.
6.  Photograph Emma Shapplin in concert (really just a dream), and a few others.
7.  Photograph a storm in Oregon.
8.  Getting a truly wild mountain lion.
9.  Get some good shots of eagles.
10.  Photograph a grizzly.

2.  Monument Valley

3.  Grand Canyon

4.  Sedona

5.  Media credentials for a major concert

6.  African Safari

  1. a magazine cover (came really close once)

  2. a really good light trail shot

  3. action shot of a surfer on a big wave

  4. one really good wild animal action shot

Don't laugh but I do bucket lists each weekend for the coming week. I'm going on a conference in two days to a place called Phillip Island, so I’m already planning all the stuff I want to shoot when I am there!
Bruce I only have 6, 7 and 10 of yours to complete before I shake this mortal coil!!

In a word, Scotland.  That's my bucket list.

Bruce, if you haven't been to Lake Powell, you have to add that to your list of places in that same area. I got to do a week long house boat trip with friends and that was when I still had a film camera, so only so many shots. I really need to go again with the new gear! Okay, adding to "MY" bucket list!

Blink, bravo, making a weekly bucket list is admirable, but don't you have more long term grandiose aspirations?  Say..... visiting some exotic local to capture the elusive wild beast or maybe just getting a really good shot of something you can't quite seem to capture.

Kendra, you reminded me to add my long time aspiration of seeing and photographing Ireland (and I may have to slip in Scotland and Wales too)!!!

My bucket list is not existent...well, not as a firm list.  Things change too much along with my mind. For the list to be what I want it too be, I have to forget physical limitations, expense and other trivial parts of reality.

One which is closer to doable is a photo I have planned for a long time in my mind, a set-up shot concerning religion and grasping for spiritual solidity. ( I have no problem with my spiritual belief but the photo should speak to  people of many beliefs and denied beliefs.)  This is a studio shot set in my studio...my driveway at night with studio lights.  It is in my mind, once drawn on paper and all elements planned.  One day this may very well be done and is certainly on the list, high up the list.   If anyone here remembers, Cynlee was part of the forum when I had this plan first start to develop...some years ago.

Scotland is certainly on the list, a real want to do.

Western USA in the landscape so alien to me is next ( while I invite those from there to come here to see a land of green when winter is over).

The North Carolina Outer Banks, as I remember prior to so many surfers: I can go into the National Seashore and perhaps find the wonderful desolation and the shore line full of birds, waders, skimmers, terns and the others simply not seen at public crowded beaches..photos for certain of these birds.  When last there, I was not so much into photography. Now I am and know what I missed in imagery.

More will pop up and this will change but these are likely to stay, along with more photos of loving things creatures and people with hearts and shared memory.   I want to give photos to a few others to have photo memories they will otherwise will not have.

I like this idea..

My bucket list:

1: an NFL game
2: an MLB game
3: morgan freeman and jack nicolas
4: auto salvage ( love rust)
5: paranormal (ghost)
6: castles in Scotland.. although I am not a landscape photographer, the brick would be pretty cool.
7: abandon hospitals and prisons around the USA
8: teach creative photography
9: Cemeteries around the USA
10: My husband playing golf.
