Subject: Emittig particles fom one hand only?

TheMentalDude ( ) posted Mon, 25 January 2010 at 10:11 AM · edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 8:21 AM

After seeing a video on you-tube, of a carrara user, using lights with particles, i have really want to try this out, i have watched Mark's new tutorials for the particle emitter and am feeling rather brave, i just cant seem to get the emitter to come out on one of her hands, it always does it on both.

Is it a fact i have to live with this and get on with it?

 Hi CN,

A standard trick for that is to place a sphere in hand and then make it a child of the hand. The next step is to un-check the Visibility of the sphere. Then, insert a particle emitter into the scene and designate the Sphere as the emitter.  The sphere will emit particles without being seen by the render.

Mark

Magic tricks are no fun when you know how they're done! :D

It all depends on whether you want to be a magician nor not. Ha!
