Subject: I Need You

Dear Friends:

I am a very loyal customers of all of our mayor 4D/Desk-Tops applications. Even-though I own tons of marketed tutotrials, on all such softwares "I Need You" a bit. I have a few questions regarding Vue as follows.

I like the subtle ligth of the images listed below, and I am looking to achive a similar effect.  Pretty please, with a cheery on top, let me know how the lighting was set for this site's following Vue's images. Please note that the lighting is very similar in subtle effect for such master-pieces. And thus no too comments repeated are needed.

"Dead City Colony 77"  "Mantra" "No One Was Watching" "Megaurchins Wreckage" War of the Worlds -The Black Smoke" "Silent Spring""No One Was Wathcing..."

How can I set IBL and HDRI as in "double take"?

How can I set-up my Vue' lights/renders for Poser characters as in the images titled

"Harem Dancers (Nudity)" and specially "Dms Denise" which looks very reaslistic (I am looking for that.

How can I set up Sub-Surface Scattering in Vue to simualte plants as in "Avartar" and other effects?

How can I set up water foams in Vue as ion the image titled "Vue Hard-Core"?

Believe me I spent $ 10,000.00 in tutorials only, and I am losed in need of your help.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Fidelity2.
Thanks.

Thanks sweet-hearts. More comments are welcome on such subjects. I forgot. New. Why is radiosity needed in Vue?

bruno021 ( ) posted Mon, 25 January 2010 at 1:19 PM

Radiosity isn't always needed, for outdoor renders I rarely use it myslef. Radiosity is more useful for interior type renders.
You should try the geekatplay.com tutorials, they are free!

Radiosity is good because it works like real light does, real light is a REFLECTION, so everything light hits, it gets coloured by
it comes through a window, hits a grene carpet, reflects on the red sofa but with a green tinge from the carpet

now, otudoors it does have an effect...sometimes. basiclaly if anything is close to the camera, or has a major effect on a scene (ie very big, or storng colour and lots of it) you want radiosity

so, indoors almost alway syou want radiosity if you want realism
outdoors, say a big ocean liner ship, it's painted white, you need radiosity to getsome ocean blue etc on it's white hull.

subsurface scattering is a pain in the BUTT to get right in Vue, far as I'm concerned it's largely trial and error with each object :/
tutorial on my site about it :)
