Waaa, Mr. NaySayGuy dropped the cone he was going to give me and it went right into the floor!

DPH, Mr. NaySayGuy's cones are better then Dr. Geeps. (When he doesn't drop them)

**Last but not least ... ** "Drop to Floor" ... Try the "Extra Fun" stuff, also, and see what happens.

Try changing the cone's yScale ... "Drop to Floor" ... See, ain't that cool?

@ dph ... ___ Hey buddy ...
Does that answer your observation/question about the "insistant" parameter?

BTW - What happens if we "Create prop" from the cone after the "Drop to Floor?"
Try it, you'll like it. 😄

Now, back to our normally scheduled programming. ... unless there are other questions ???

cheers,

Mr. NaySayGuy has yummy tastes, but it ain't fair that he brought only one cone for you, and didn't bring a cone for me!  I protest!  This is an outrage!  Oh ye Coneless masses of the world UNITE!

> Quote - Also, when I did it, the inverted cone when dropped to floor insisted on saying that it was at 0.100, and this was after I'd switched over to PNU's.  Another anomaly between your version and mine. > Question: Do we also export the cone,  or leave it separate, and then parent it to the re-imported WorkBox?  I'm thinking that Mapped on UV Mapper Pro, this could also serve as a set prop. > dph

@ dph

You can save the cone prop separately or "glue" it to the box if you want.
Your choice.

I would suggest keeping them separate.  See Page 15. (above)  ... 😄

Have I answered your question?

I also kept them separate, and then imported the bare work box into UV Mapper pro, and gave each side its own MAT zone, so that I could texture them as a Pose Set for creating scenes.

You cannot do complicated scenes without know how the props and figures relate to each other in space. You can move items in 3 dimensional space only if you know where it's going. HOWEVER--if you don't know where you start....you can't get anywhere!

Here is a precision texture map for use with the Poser WorkBox prop.

Now ... Let's apply it to our WorkBox prop. 😄

Sorry I'm late but I did leave an apple on your desk.  I was gonna leave an old Motorola video chip but figured that was too hard on the teeth.

Why is the Poser floor beneath ground 0 and the Poser shadow above ground 0?  I SUSPECT if you spoke with the guys who created the program they would say that they did not want geometry conflicts between their ground plane and a user-created ground plane (one can think of a half dozen reasons why that would be so). Similarly, if the user were to create/import their own ground prop at y0.0, then one would want shadows to display above it.

Jus' a guess...

(Or, in trying to catch up, did I miss words to this effect?)
