Subject: Anybody have Eerie Asylum Cell ?

tonymouse ( ) posted Wed, 17 February 2010 at 7:04 AM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 9:24 AM

I have a question, I have IM'd the listed murchent but it is one of the pieces that was bought out by rendo and I have had no response, so I thought I would try to pick you alls brains.

I intstalled it in my runtime, if I load the included PZ3 fine no probblem, if I try to load the individivdual pieces out the props folder, it list them in the preview windows list, but there is nothing there in the window rendered or un rendered( and the render time is fast cuz ther is nothing there), same thing if I load from the figures folder. I have down loaded and reinstalled more than once just in case. I am assuming that every thing is there and where it is intended to be as it loads fine if I open the PZ3 that came with it. Any Ideas, or does anybody know who the original artist is so I can try to contact them.

Much thanks for any help.

Post in the market place help forum.  They will be able to help you there, and if necessary contact the creator.

Silly question but forgive me for asking...Are you sure they're not there?

The reason I ask is this particular merchant, the guy who made it, not who's selling it usually has the pieces load in places akin to the full pre-load so they could well be "Off screen"
Use your Auxilliary camera and zoom out to make sure they're not actually there.

Sorry if you've done this already, but sometimes it's the obvious thing that catches us out, no offence intended..

How odd, I was looking at that item earlier today & debating whether to buy it or not, I shall await a resolution to tony's problem with great interest.

Just checked it and it's there it loads off camera because it's meant to go with the other package and loads that way for convenience. I would load each part and move it where you want it and save it that way, I know it's some work but will be worth it. It's a pretty cool package.
Hope it helps, I think it loaded to the left if that helps.

I bought this item at Vanishing Point. Everything loaded fine for me.

Yep, this is one of the few sets which do not load directly before the main camera.  Use either Aux or top camera (pulled back) to spot their location.  Or use the camera's Point to feature.

The cell indeed goes WITH the Asylum package and each componant loads into it's place.  You have to translate the top parent item for the scene to be in the center of the Poser studio.  The Abandoned House sets are made in a similiar way.

I love the packages.  Raytracer does fine work.  The textures are very interesting and taught me alot about the materials room.  Takes a little setup to use the sets but when you have the scene just the way you like it, you can save it as a template and re-use it over and over.  There's a lot of details in the scenes and with a little camera work you can find a lot of different areas to 'shoot'.

Best Wishes,
