I don't know about a script. But I think you can drag and drop in the hierarchy menu.

HI there is Python Script that does this and it is a real time saver!!!

I would offer you a copy of mine but I remember Okham made some Mac OSX specific changes to the version he so kindly
gave me.
The "parent all" script has worked flawlessly for here
enabling me to save poser physics props with hundreds of parts to my library and load them with all pieces parented to a "root" item for easy manipulation.

Hi folks - does anyone know of a way (script, utility etc) to set everything in a scene to have the same parent, other than going through each of about 150 separate items and setting the parent individually?
My self-build system - Vista 64 on a Kingston 240GB SSD, Asus P5Q Pro MB, Quad 6600 CPU, 8 Gb Geil Black Dragon Ram, CoolerMaster HAF932 full tower chassis, EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti Superclocked 2 Gb, Coolermaster V8 CPU aircooler, Enermax 600W Modular PSU, 240Gb SSD, 2Tb HDD storage, 28" LCD monitor, and more red LEDs than a grown man really needs.....I built it in 2008 and can't afford a new one, yet.....!
