Subject: pleats

hi!  i'm wondering if anyone knows how to model pleats.  and i specifically mean pleats, not creases, seams, or gathers.  those are great, but i'm pretty sure i have some decent methods for those.  in case i'm not being clear, i mean cloth that has repeated panels folded under, like a field hockey skirt. a gear script with very flat teeth would probably work for something with symmetrical pleats, but i'm still not sure how to do simple, one-sided pleats.  if you have advice, please let me know.  i'd really appreciate it.
