IBL was one of the main things, if I remember correctly. I had never used P6, myself. I went from Poser 4 Pro Pack to Poser 7. Heck of a jump, too!

I recall...... working multiple undo's, rendering improvements, layered animations, talk designer, universal poses, HDRI support.

Just grabbed it as well, downloading now :)

actually, IBL was Poser 6.  the rest were in P7, as well as the morph brush.  i've never seen anyone mention it, but if it works, it's the absolutely perfect finishing touch for dynamic clothes.  in Blender, i use the sculpting tool to tweak my sims and eliminate errors.  i look forward to being able to do the same in Poser.

Hmmmmm now that I've so enthusiastically endorsed P7 to you, CD, I'll have to add as caveat that mileage does vary on that morph tool. I'm not very gifted, so it never really did it for me (solving poke-though, for example).
HOWever, Poser 7 runs so much more smoothly and efficiently and quickly on the same hardware, it has made the upgrade from 6 to 7 incredibly worthwhile even at the (then) $129 price tag. At $40... sheesh, no contest.

To be perfectly honest, if it had not been such a steal, I would have been perfectly happy to remain with P6. But they made me an offer I could not refuse. :)

The morph brush sounds like a useful addition to what the magnets can do, and HDRI support could be worth exploring. Multiple undos should have been there from the beginning (!). Am I right in thinking that the preview window can now use more features of your video card if they're present, and potentially give a better quality preview?

But hey, 1.7GB is a challenging download on any connection. It took me five goes to complete - admittedly, one of those was cancelled by me because it took much longer than originally estimated and the computer had to be shut down before it could finish, but allthesame...

Be sure to update all SRs ... I think it's SR3 now... if it's not already in-built (which it should be)...
