Subject: They Won't Get Dressed!

Hello

I have several questions.

1.  If you are using a character like James arent you pretty well screwed out of using much with him..I mean all the clothes are for m3 and m4 and if you click on the clothes nothing happens..so I assume its impossible to clothe him or put a mask on him?

2.  Also trouble with m3 and m4..I load the character and go to some clothes and click on the clothes..the little circle runs but nothing appears and they are still nude.

Please advise and thank you.

I think we are missing some very important details which you are not giving us.  James is not a generation 3 or 4 figure by DAZ3D, he is part of the legacy content provided by SM and has some support from Content Paradise.  Unless you own a 3rd party clothing converter,  you are out of luck.  You must own clothing specific to the character you load into your scene.

BTW, It would help us if you also provide which Poser version you are using.

What type of content do you have available for M3/M4?  Provide screencaps, if necessary.

James needs clothes for James. M3 needs clothes for M3, and M4 for M4....etc. That's why Runtimes get so big...;)

Do a search in Freebies (or Marketplace here), and look for the word ...'for'.  As in "Sweater for M4', or 'Bikini for V4', etc. That will give you a lot more 'fit' for your fit.

You can get around this with WWII (the package, not the War...;) or a few other utilities.

Don't worry, you're not the first to do this, or even the last. Been there, done that, downloaded a Tshirt that wouldn't fit...;)

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

It's very difficult to solve a problem without adequate information or complete information.  Pakled has provided a reasonable explanation how Poser works, but unless the OP gives us a detailed synopsis and examples of his/her workflow, we would only be guessing that an internal problem exists.  Maybe it is just a technical confusion about how to use the software.
