Good news, a new PyCarrara release is available from http://pycarrara.sourceforge.net

This release includes new exciting features:

  • MIDI file support
  • Python scripting from "File/Import" menu
  • key frames management for all animated parameters (object position/rotation, shaders parameters, light parameters, ...)
  • early implementation of the walk cycle designer

The syntax is different from 0.1-alpha: please check the sample scenes coming with the distribution.

Here are two examples of what is possible with the new features :

  • A fully procedural walk cycle: the robot trajectory is defined with a standard "Motion path". The swing and feet keyframes are automatically computed with a Python script
  • A keyboard driven by a MIDI file

These scenes and scripts are available in the distribution file.
