Has anyone else here ordered items from this site?  I just purchased a mat file for the V3 tunic and boots and my order status has remained at "Pending" for what seems to me a long time, since I paid with Pay Pal and they pay immediately.  I realize this is a European site, but still.  I've e-mailed the owner. I've continued to refresh the page in hopes of an end to the pending status.  Any one else have issues or am I just being overly eager?

"What seems like an eternity" = ??? in real time?

If it's been years, then it would be worrisome.
If it's been only a few hours, then they probably send download links manually.
After looking at their site, I would say this is most likely the case.

It's Saturday, after all :)

Ah, the voice of reason comes over the wires!  It was just a few hours ago. Thank you.  I was being a bit unreasonable.  I'm just eager to start a new piece based on this texure.  You are a dear, thank you.

It's possible that your order will be manually processed after the weekend

Hi MyCat,
Yeah, I sort of figured that too.  Just got too eager and my fingers got ahead of my reason with this thread.  We artists are such tempermental creatures.  We want it NOW so our muse doesn't go away.  sigh.  Anyway.  Wish it had been here ... I know I would've been able to DL it right away, you guys know me. :)

Waiting, waiting, waiting.  :)
Thanks guys.

Sounds you've fallen foul of a paypal "security feature" aka bug.

Most stores use a Paypal system called IPN (Instant Payment Notification). When you buy from the store paypal sends out various emails. 1 to you and the store owner confirming payment and 1 email containing transaction data to the store. The store gets that transaction email, does it's magic and send send you the file/ download link.

Unfortunately, sometimes Paypal will flag the transaction as 'pending'. Usually if payment was made with an E-Cheques, and some debit and credit cards.

Two things can happen then. Paypal doesn't send out the transaction email, so if the shop doesn't receive the order, it can't send any files/links. or it sends the email with a pending flag.

By default many shopping carts will 'ignore' pending IPN's. Thats a security features for stores which sell physical goods. It's there because if someone pays by e-cheque, the cheque can be cancelled after the goods have been sent out.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

mrsparky,

Thank you for the heads up on this.  Hopefully since I sent an e-mail on my own as well, it will be okay.  The pending (I've worked in a bank) could be because until Tuesday when transactions have gone through over the weekend there is a pending mark on my checking account.  If all of this is linked that way ... I might have to wait until then.  I'm just use to things happening automatically like when I deal with Rendo.  That is another theory of mine anyway.  This site doesn't look like it has very high traffic, it's pretty "fan genre" specific and may not have had traffic for ... a year or more.  But it seems still active.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.  And communications open.  I suppose that is all I can do at this point.

Thanks
Boni
