Hi,
Anyone using a setup like this??  I was wondering how well it would work (if at all) with PP2010..

15-inch

13-inch: 2.4GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB Memory
NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics
I could not find a similar use in the forum threads  nor any mac reviews.

Thanks in advance.

Hi  have you checked the system requirements on the Smith Micro Site.
Im not a poser pro user( Just poser 6)
but just as a comparison:

I have a 3 year old mac book 2.16 GHZ 2 gig of RAM intel core 2 Duo
I am comfortably running Maxon Cinema4D R11 with Vray,
Nextlimit Realflow4,  Luxology Modo 401,
Adobe After effects CS3, Apple Final Cut pro studio and Apple Shake4 Compositing suite.

Now if that NEW Macbook you are considering cant handle Poserpro 2010
I would be very surprised.

Cheers

...if at all????  I'm rather surprized with that statement.  Of course, it should work.  The only concern is utilizing all your memory for rendering under the MAC OS.  There may have been several posts on that subject, perhaps someone with more experience in this matter could chime in and verify what the MAC can handle with PP 2010.  Contacting SmithMicro could be a better option.

Quoted from the Smith micro website:
"For Macintosh: Mac® OS X 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 (10.5 or 10.6 required for 64-bit rendering); 1.25 GHz G4 processor (Intel® Core® Duo recommended, 64-bit CPU required for 64-bit rendering); 1 GB system RAM (2 GB or more recommended); OpenGL enabled graphics card or chipset recommended (recent NVIDIA® GeForce® and ATI Radeon™ preferred); 24-bit color display, 1024 x 768 minimum resolution; 2 GB free hard disk space (4 GB recommended); DVD-ROM drive (Physical product only); Internet connection required for Content Paradise™; Adobe® Flash® Player 9 (32-bit embedded library). Hosting plugins require a valid English language installation of their respective host application:"****
