Subject: Vue Inf 8 Mac- any semi-stable builds for Poser Import??

Eric Walters ( ) posted Tue, 27 April 2010 at 1:57 AM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 2:52 AM

It looks like I MIGHT be able to import V4.2 saved in Poser 6 with Vue 8.1 Infinite Build 49020
I have Poser Pro (2008) -just crashed with an Error 5000. And PoserPro2010

So I saved the same character in Poser 6 and selected that in configuration

I had no luck with VueInf 8.4 Mac. I have been trying earlier builds.
I set my Config to Poser 6-and was able to import Poser 6 PZ3's of V4.2

Using the same settings- I just imported V4.2 saved in PoserPro2010.
VueInf 8.1 Build 49020. I unchecked all options but single mesh.

I can import and render fine in 8.5 unless I keep poser shaders. If i use poser shaders then when I render, vue 8.5 crashes half way through - consistently.  but it might be to do with the particular shaders i am using though.
And the Pz3 imports fine even with conform to scale used, which wasn't the case in earlier versions of vue.
I hope the final 8.5 will correct the poser shader tree bug.

See my detailed notes on all the Poser issues over on the Vue offical forums. I made several findings for bugs and described them over there. Right now I am working with a tech at e-on as my reports and files have been escalated to their programmers.

It was interesting to note that a moderator replied and said that they appreciate the technical notes and details for submissions like I made but very few people actually take the time to follow all the steps that e-on asks for. He said a lot of users will say they found bugs but never make an official ticket or provide the files and other material needed. I just hope people that use Vue will do this so we can all have a better Vue program.
