Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Oct 17 8:34 am)
Some infinite terrains have a node that flattens the terrain near the camera. Maybe that's what's happening to you. If this is the case, there's normally some text about it in the terrain description (or you can check the content in the function editor). You can either delete that node or choose another terrain.
Hope that helps.

Getting to grips with Vue 8 this weekend.
I created an infinite terrain from one of the presets, placed a vehicle carefully on the surface and rendered a quick preview to see how it looked. After rotating the camera around the vehicle to get another view of it, the infinite terrain shifted and suddenly my vehicle was buried up the top of the hull !!
Moving the camera to other view points causes the terrain to shift again and perhaps the vehicle is floating in the air this time.
Anybody else seen this?
