Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 30 6:52 am)
Are we talking textures or shaders? A procedural material or shader won't import into Vue. It is tied to the maths of the app that creates them. A bitmap texture will import into Vue if the Carrara obj exporter creates the material library file (.mtl) that Vue needs to find the bitmap and the mapping method.

Hi gang, I don't know how many times this has been covered before, if so just point me in the right direction.
I create all my models in Carrara 5 Pro, texture them there and import as .objs into Vue. My textures are all minimized. For example, Carrara glass textures are reduced to just a simple colored transparency or a textured body is reduced to just the flat color, etc. Same with importing as .3ds etc. Is there anything one can do to package the model to retain the original textures etc?
