Hey all,

let me first say that I do not by any means want to step on anyones toes. I think our challenges are fun and it's thanks to TheBryster that we can keep doing them.
But now with seeing how many entries we got due to having a few weeks more to finish our entry I started thinking. What if we would start the challenge exactly at the 1st of a month, then have the challange run for 6 weeks (or one and a half month), then after that there's a bit more time left for TheBryster to get the voting page up. That page could also stay up for a week then and still leave enough time for our winner to come up with a new theme and get that all posted by the 1st.
Yes we would have less challenges in a year.  But it would give TheBryster a bit more time to put up threads and pages, and it would give us more time to create our render.

So what do you guys and girls think? This is just an idea ofcourse. :)

Interesting idea and I appreciate that you think I need more time. However, the reasons I have been having trouble getting pages done are many. In the first place I have had nightmares keeping my pc on line thanks to the hacking fraturnity. In the second, my entire ground floor is being re-modelled and my home is a complete disaster area. Hopefully I'll be able to get my act together this month.

I will be changing the deadline though. Deadlines in Rendo time mean that it's 6am here. So I'll be moving them to 12noon on the 1st of every month. This should mean that closing down entries and posting the voting announcement events are closer together.

Umm, why do you take this personaly?  I never said that you need more time. What I did say is that perhaps it would be nice that we, the people who make renders for the challenge, would get some more time. First to make our render, and second to cast our vote. I think the challenges are a great idea, and I gladly try to participate as much as I can to support this whole initiative. But I don't got the time to sit behind my computer all day. Therefor I don't always find much time to make something for the challenge. I'm sure I'm not the only one. This time though we got a whole lot of entries and I think that having more time to finish a render is the biggest reason why so many people participated.
On the other hand, it is easier to vote when there are only 5 or 6 entries instead of 20. :D
But yea, it was just an idea.

It would. :) But I did not say you NEED that time. ;)
