Can I do it? How do I upgrade from Carrara Pro 6 to 7 and or 8?

Help. The Daz site is very confusing to me.

I hate to be the one to tell this, but unfortunately you missed the upgrade window.  Daz had a sale on Carrara 7 Pro upgrade going with a free upgrade to version 8.  You could try calling the sales at Daz to see if anything can be done, but they were pretty strong in there message about there not being an upgrade from 6 Pro once 8 Pro came out. It is still on sale right now which with the plat club discount is approx 65% off I believe.  But that ends tonight :( 

There will be other sales.

Thems the breaks. My clients are very happy with what I have been doing with Carrara 6 Pro. It does a good job with product design and ad images for as yet unprinted packaging. As long as they are happy I am. So I guess I will just continue with that unless a really good offer comes along.

Thanks for the info.  Carrara 7 didn't sound like that much of an improvement for the uses I make of Carrara anyway.

I went from 5 to 6 when 7 Came out.

So I thought ok I'll go from 6 to 7 when 8 comes out.

Now I find myself in the same situation, not be yelling sour grapes, but everything I've been reading on forums the current release of 8 Doesnt seem to be that hot with all the bugs in it.

I'm using Carrara as a hobby, I dont make money using it, and I have to convince the wife why I need to plunk down $270 U.S. for something thats a hobby. :)

I'll wait till there is another sale. :)

Actually I like it, its also 192 with the plat club price.  The appear to have extended the sale to the 15th.  But I think you went over all that and the prices in the thread about the upgrade.
