bagginsbill how could we make simple fibers with a low number of nodes?

i dont need complex fibers. just enough for the bumb.

In that last post, I see my fibers, but a new shader by you. They are not the same, right?

Your shader looks like it won't do much. You're running 1/2 into all three inputs of the Turbulence, which will make it do nothing at all. You'll get a constant gray value.

I don't understand what you're asking. The thread you linked to shows how to do it.

i dont understand mathematic. its easier for me when i see the nodes.and i think you used over 100 nodes.

can we do it with 5-7 nodes? :)

OK well here's one layer of fibers in 6 nodes. I placed a seventh node to control the scale - the number in the lower right.

I also placed a blender and a noise to combine a cloth color with the fibers.

It looks like this in Poser Pro 2010 with render GC enabled.

I am continually amazed at your ability to manipulate the material room nodes...so when is that book coming out?

bagginsbill it works fantastic. thank you for this.

i am now doing a lot of cloth materials with small patterns. and with adding some fibers it will look realistic.

ice-boy - That's great. Show me some.

DarkEdge - I don't know. I'm working on it but very slowly. My wife says I'll never finish it.
