Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 28 11:34 am)
Quote - Just for clarification, there are 2 Pro series Poser apps, the original PoserPro and PoserPro 2010. As wimvdb mentioned, PoserPro 2010 does not have any known service releases yet. The 2 SR available are only exclusively for PoserPro.
Actually 3 if you want to get technical. Poser Pro Pack, Poser Pro and Poser Pro 2010.
But whos counting. LOl.
This means I can't make full use of the feature. Reported to SM months ago!

There is an SR1 release for Poser Pro 2010. At this link http://poser.smithmicro.com/updates.html you will find the following; **Poser Pro 2010 Service Release 1.1 -** **REQUIRED** Updates all English versions of Poser Pro 2010 by addressing several known issues present in the originally released version. Installing Service Release 1.1 (SR1.1) is highly recommended and will enhance Poser Pro 2010's reliability and improve render performance. Package includes: Service Release 1.1 updater for Poser Pro 2010 / Queue Manager (includes previous SR1 updates), the new LightWave plug-in, and updated PoserFusion plug-ins for 3ds Max (includes previously released 3ds Max Hotfix), Maya and Cinema 4D (with support for Mac 64 bit).Service Release 1.1 also provides beta support for Maya 2011. Compressed Poser content (PZZ, CRZ etc.) via the PoserFusion plug-in is not supported in Maya 2011. Previous versions of PoserFusion for Maya will still support compressed Poser content.
Use your Poser Pro 2010 serial number to qualify for a LightWave plug-in serial number via the entry field on this download page. A $0 check out in our online store is required in order to obtain the SR1.1 file set and a serial number required for installation of this plug-in.
"But when I try to install the SR1 I get a message saying that Poser Pro 2010 is not installed on the system."
I have PP10, and I have the SR1 for PP10, and I am really getting the error 'Poser Pro 2010 is not installed on the system'. And 'Not a Poser 2010 folder.'
I have even tried re-installing PP10 in an alternative folder, but I still get the same error message when I try to install SR1.
When I saw this thread, I thought my problem would be solved.
Cannot find the answer on the Smith Micro Knowledge Base. Can anyone help?

Just got Poser Pro 2010 today. I installed it and it set up folders and desktop icons for Poser Pro 2010 and Poser Pro 2010(x86) as well as folders for both in the SmithMicro folder of my Programs and Programs(x86) folders. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit by the way. But when I try to install the SR1 I get a message saying that Poser Pro 2010 is not installed on the system. It is. I've been playing with it. It asks if I want to find the folder manually and no matter which one I choose, I get the error message again and again.
I also downloaded SR1.2 but don't want to install that until I install SR1.
Any ideas?
