Subject: Changing V4 skin tones

Hello all. 
I am new to working with V4.  With V3, there were mats in the !MAT V3 MapsHC that could be used to change the V3 texture from very light skinned person to an african american.  I can not find anything like that in the V4 MATerials Standard-Res folder.  Is there a way to change V4's skin tone without having to buy new textures?

did your copy of poser come with the "grace" mats? if not then I would say photoshop your v4 textures to the colour/tone you want.

Believe the change is skin tone only changed the diffuse and highlight base colour.

So you can replicate this yourself by just applying it to V3 and see the difference, then do the same changes to V4 textures. You would have to change all the relevant material

You can save the material then you are done.

 

However you will get far better result using an African texture like Grace.

There are free skin textures here and at sharecg.com.  Reciecup has put out some rather amazing African skin color textures for her characters, which I highly recommend.
