There is a fair chance that those boots are rigged to accommodate a bug in older versions of poser that made rigs asymmetrical for no good reason, I've seen other DAZ shoes rigged this way (shoes for SP3 for example).  This bug seems to be fixed in Poser 8/Pro 2010, so HOPEFULLY, all you need to do is make the rig properly symmetrical.  Try this:

  • New, blank scene
  • Load the original boots only
  • Figure menu -> Symmetry -> Left to Right -> Copy joint zone's setup YES
  • Save the figure to library (don't overwrite the original!)
  • New scene
  • Load M3, load boots, conform, see if they fit correctly; if not, restart this set of steps and do Figure -> Symmetry -> Right to Left instead.

If this doesn't work, go ahead and contact the vendor (the3dwizard at DAZ) and see about an update.

Err, it occurs to me that M3's rig is ITSELF probably not symmetrical, and you'll probably end up needing to talk to the3dwizard anyway.

cool thank you very much

  • i am guessing to contact 3dwizard is as simple and going to daz and link the vendor and there should be something along the lines of "contact vendor"?

PM him via the DAZ page, and/or telephone DAZ and ask if there is any info on an update.
