Suggestion Box F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 1:15 pm)
This forum is designed for suggestions from the community on how you feel we can improve Renderosity.
What you're suggesting is lousy business practices...lol.
I know where you're coming from (as the consumer), but if you look at it from a business standpoint, you wanna get full price for as long as you can and then do sales when sales of the item tend to dwindle to give it a second wind ;o).
My suggestion to you would be to not buy it on the day of release, but rather wait for a sale...lmao.
Laurie
What I do is....wait! I wait until the price gets to what I feel I want and then I buy and never look back...lol
I love the deal at Daz...you get 30 days money back for whatever reason, they don't care. If you buy something and it comes out cheaper within 30 days..you can return and buy it cheaper.

I have bought things and see it go on sale or at a lower price only a day later...I bought the package deal from Daz {Hexagon, Carrara 6, Daz Studio, and the Daz Book for 30 bux, only to see it change in price the next day to something like 13 dollars..I was stunned, but I figured I got several hundred dollars worth of software for less than 40 bux so i was still happy LOL
So really nothing you can do but as advised above..just wait it out. :)

OMG...all you had to do was contact Daz and they would have given you the 30 bux back and let you buy it for 13.. as long as yu didn't have it for more than 30 days before the price changed. :crying:

It could be that the vendor didn't expect his product to be released so soon and he wasn't around to put it on sale when it was released? It has happened to me in the past, fortunately I was around when the product was released and was able to change the sales dates right away but I could have been away... Just saying because I find it weird that it would be put on sale only 2-3 days after release, usually vendors will either put their products on sale as soon as it's released (intro sale) or they'll wait but at least a couple of weeks, often more, not just a few days.

Well, just happened again...that's 3 times now. I can't remember the first one, then the Mavka witch, which tempted me to write the initial post and now the Mavka ballerina on sale now with 85 cents off. Came out late July 19th, I bought it and left a comment when I saw it on the 20th and now its on sale today for 85 cents off. I guess I will learn that you don't buy new releases on the first day
That was a really quick sale cause it doesn't seem to be on sale anymore?

It was a one day sale the same as all the others - as I said I don't care about $0.95 or I don't care about losing $0.85 - the amount is inconsequential. I have bought a lot of things that when I downloaded them I knew immediately I didn't like them and would never use them. It is just the principle of the thing that bugs me. I guess no more looking at the sales pages either. Oh well...................

This may sound like a terribly petty suggestion but I am going to state something I would like to see happen.
I don't buy too many different varieties of items and tend to stick with what I know I will use rather than "like to own". I fell in love with the introduction of the Mavka figure and have been enjoying the participation of vendors in creating new outfits for and offering them to enhance her introduction. I never bought the Cookie figures or any other similar characters but I did decide I liked this one so much I would step in. In the past couple of weeks I have made so many purchases of Mavka related products on the first day the new items were introduced into the marketplace only to find that now twice, just several days after their introduction they are placed "on sale". This is where the petty part comes in I guess because the one I see today is only a savings of $0.95 but the other purchase was a little larger amount I lost out on.
So, is there any way that the designers could please not put on a sale 2 or 3 days after we all buy it full price to support their efforts and maybe wait a little bit longer, maybe a week? Otherwise I am going to decide that I no longer will buy when a new product is introduced because if I wait a few days I may get it cheaper.
Thank you for reading.
